Enroll in our Medical Assisting Program to prepare for the exciting healthcare field, where you can experience the increasingly important human link between the patient and medical services provider. This Medical Assisting Associate of Science Degree program is designed to prepare students so that they may become healthcare professionals with the clinical, administrative, interpersonal and technical skills necessary to succeed as a medical assistant.

Hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, laboratories, state health facilities and other health care environments are in need of trained Medical Assistants.
Courses that one might take in the Medical Assisting program are as follows:
- Demonstrate the workplace skills of problem solving, maintaining interpersonal relationships, understanding and applying legal and ethical concepts, and communicating effectively in a professional medical environment
- Demonstrate the ability to perform patient-related clinical duties and laboratory procedures as appropriate to the clinical setting
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the administrative duties of medical office management, including reception, medical bookkeeping, secretarial, medical records and computer applications

All students in our Medical Assisting Program are required to complete CPR-First Aid certification. Seminars are offered for an additional cost. Please see the Registrar's office for more information.
